1) Clamp
the tongs of tester to Ground, you can clamp it to the area
with the copper colouring around the PS2 motherboard as shown
in the picture below.
2) Use the lead
of the LED to touch the Clip pin you want to test as shown
in the picture below.
3) If the LED lights
up, it means the connection was successful for that pin.
